KDF media is a chemical compound used in water filtration applications. KDF is often used along with activated carbon to maximise the filters efficiency. Generally KDF is used in a purification system as a prefilter, before another finer stage of filtration, for example, reverse osmosis, deionisation and ion exchange systems.

 

1. Benefits of KDF55 alloy filter material:

2. Working principle of KDF55:
A chemical reaction called REDOX occurs when used in water.Electrons are transferred between molecules in REDOX reactions.Such as free chlorine through this reaction can become a beneficial substance such as chloride, then through the filter.Similarly, copper,lead, mercury and other heavy metals react and precipitate on the surface of the filter material, so as to effectively remove them from the water
3. Utilization of KDF55 in high water temperature (0-100 ºC) :
In the case of hot showers, KDF55 is not affected;Shower to protect you from chlorine.
4. Backwashing:The recoil velocity should be 2 times of the normal velocity and the time should be less than 10 minutes.Rinse and rinse for 3minutes;Not less than 2 times a week.Low water temperature recoil speed can be reduced whereas high temperature can be used high
speed.
5. Cleaning:
If the filter material is not recoil for a long time or not used to cause the hardening can be recoil, use hydrochloric acid to clean the metal filter material.
Dissolve concentrated hydrochloric acid in water to obtain the configuration acid with PH value greater than 2.5 and pour it into the metal filter material to soak the filter material, and conduct the backwash for 20 minutes.Until the PH of the water is the same as the PH of the water.
