Introduction
Cascade Ring can increase the mechanical strength of the packing ring, and due to the destruction of the symmetry of the packing structure, thus increasing the directional chance of packing lauch. In this way, not only increase the gap between filler particles, reduce the resistance that gas passes through the packing layer, and these contact points also can be aggregation spaced points of liquid surface along the packing, thereby promote the surface renewal of the liquid film, which is conducive to the mass transfer efficiency of packing. It can be used in synthetic ammonia desulfurization, decarbonization system, the separation of crude oil distillation unit, a variety of separation, for example: methanol separation, organic acid separation of absorption and desorption tower.

It was developed by British Company MTL Ltd, which also called CMR. it has not only change tradional equal length and diameter, but also cone-shaped flanging at one edge. This special structure had shorten distance which gas passing through wall out surface, but also reduced the resistance when air passing through bed layer and increased voidage.
